Greatest Saints Team Ever Marching In?

The New Orleans Saints have the appearance of a team of destiny.

They have proved the experts wrong so far this year. They were picked to lose to the Giants and the Dolphins. They beat both teams with an offensive explosion that was both breathtaking and heartbreaking depending if you were fan or foe.

So are we seeing the team for which New Orleans has waited so long? 

With more than half the season to play, time will tell if this is the team. This team has so far made a case for itself by dominating its opponents. At least one of those opponents is considered an elite team.

So look into a possible future for a little bit. Let's say the team runs the table in the same manner it has won the first six games.

If they could somehow prolong this success, they would not only be a Super Bowl champion, but only the second team to ever win a Super Bowl and go undefeated for the entire season.

One thing is for certain, this edition of the Saints are surprising all the experts. 

The underestimation of this team will not last long. Hopefully when the pundits jump on the wagon it won’t bring the "Gris-gris" (bad luck or hex).

For a city that knows how to throw a party it will be a hoot. You might just see a monument to this team on Padres avenue.
