Marques Colston Goes Under the Knife

Saints wide receiver Marques Colston suffered a small fracture in his collarbone in last week’s defeat to the Packers.  He underwent surgery to insert a plate in order to help speed up the healing process. Payton predicts 4-week absence for Saints WR Colston

New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton said he does not expect a broken collarbone to keep wide receiver Marques Colston sidelined for more than four weeks. COlston was injured on the final drive of a season-opening loss to the Green Bay Packers. According to Payton, the sixth-year wideout had a plate inserted into the bone. ..
