The Cleveland Browns may not be favored in any game this season, but they showed last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers that they aren’t too far behind the rest of their division.
Still, Las Vegas doesn’t seem to think they’ll give the New Orleans Saints much trouble in Week 2. Drew Brees and company opened up as nine-point favorites over Cleveland this week, according to Vegas Insider.
Some sportsbooks have it up to 9.5 or down to 8.5, but across the board, the Saints are given more than a touchdown advantage in the spread, despite being upset last week by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Vegas is also expecting another significant offensive output, with the over/under set at 49.5 at most books. That’s the second-highest scoring total set this week behind the Chiefs-Steelers game.
The Saints’ defense was vulnerable last week, and Brees wasn’t able to overcome it. On paper, he should have an easier time with the Browns, but they may no longer be the laughing stock of the league this season.
