Saints News: Five things to watch for when Saints face Browns in Week 2 – (WHO DAT DISH) Saints News

The Saints head into a crucial Week 2 matchup with the Browns looking to prove they can compete this season. Here are five things to watch for. After last Sunday’s defensive collapse against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Saints have been left this week looking for answers. The defense was supposed to be much improved this year. But after the Bucs game, it looks like it’s taken several steps back. In fact, what Saints fans saw last Sunday left many remembering 2016 fondly. A team that’s invested three consecutive first round picks and millions in free agency on its defense, gave up 41 points to an average offense with a backup quarterback as its starter in the Superdome. Any expected changes Saints fans were waiting to hear about didn’t transpire.

In fact, the news coming out of the Saints camp this week has been rather sparse. As if they were in a circle the wagons mode. No news of any changes at linebacker. No talk about defensive coordinator Dennis Allen. Obviously, the feeling in Saints camp is that they’ll go with the status quo against the Browns and hope things turn around. The best way to stop focusing on last week is to win this week. But there will be some changes and some things to watch for this week. Here are the top five.
