The New Orleans Saints went on the road in Week 4 to take on the New York Giants and pulled out the win to take their 2018 Season record to 3-1.After a humiliating home loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to start the 2018 Season, the Saints defense has, rightfully, been the focus of a lot of anxiety about this team. Through three weeks, New Orleans defense has been one of the lowest ranked units in the NFL. A Week 4 trip to face the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium showed the defense may be on the verge of getting things righted. In a turnabout of sorts, the Saints offense was the unit having a hard time finding its footing on Sunday, Sep. 30, going into the halftime locker room with a narrow 12-7 lead. All the points for the Saints coming on Wil Lutz field goals as the Saints struggled in the red zone. The Giants defense seemed to have all the answers in the first half. Both offenses struggled to get any momentum until the Saints opened things up a bit in the second half, going on to take the game 33-18 on the back of two fourth quarter touchdowns. There were some strong performances from the Saints on both sides of the ball. And there were some who came up short. Or, at least short by what we’ve come to expect from certain players. But in a 15 point road win, it’s hard to make too much out of some less than spectacular outings. With that being said, here are the Saints who sizzled and the Saints who fizzled in Week 4 in this win that takes New Orleans to 3-1 on the season.
