Drew Brees named NFC Offensive Player of the Month – (Saints Wire) Saints News

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees was recognized by the NFL on Thursday, being named November’s NFC Offensive Player of the Month.

Brees went on a historic tear in November, completing 84 of 113 pass attempts (74-percent) for 1,145 yards and a ratio of 15 touchdowns to just 1 interception – leading the NFL in every category. He also set the bar for professional quarterbacks in passer rating at 142.1, leading the Saints to a 4-0 record before taking the field on Thursday night against the Dallas Cowboys.

One of the other best players of November will line up against Brees: Cowboys rookie linebacker Leighton Vander Esch, who was selected as the league’s defensive rookie of the month. The full list of Players of the Month for November includes:
